IE5G_SS - Super Speed Image Processing Engine

The IE5G_SS, based on the DSP and FPGA is now available in two versions: single camera input and dual camera input, and is able to generate many images simultaneously from one scanned object. The board is compatible with BAPis cameras with a native, low-cost G-Link interface and third-party cameras. Interface extension boards are available upon request (Camera Link, CoaXPress, and others). The default input interface is the internal BAPis camera interface (G-Link). It requires a generic, low-cost Ethernet Cat-7 cable for video transmission and control commands between the IE5G_SS board and any BAPis camera. The processed images are sent to the host through a USB 3.0 Super Speed interface. MS Windows drivers are supported. Optionally, BAPis can provide drivers to other operating systems. The IE5G_SS can be installed as an embedded system in any device, which has to perform complicated image processing functions in a limited timeframe.

 The IE5G_SS was designed to work with digital color cameras from BAPis and third party cameras. With a performance of 600 PPM (1200 IPM) 300 DPI DIN A4 simplex dual-stream (JPEG color + T6 bi-tonal). The IE5G_SS can be used in high-speed duplex color scanners.

 The IE5G_SS board has plenty of additional image processing functions. For example: compressions, image enhancement, Color Correction Matrix for perfect color matching, advenced color filters, advanced asymmetric image sharpening, color saturation control filter, color decorrelation, barcode and mark recognition and others.

DB5G_CXP4- Interface for IE5G_SS

The DB5G_CXP4 daughter board for the IE5G_SS image processing engine adds support for BAP and third-party cameras with a CXP interface. The wide range of processing, detection, and compression features of the embedded IE5G_SS engine are now available for third- party CXP camera models.
 
 The system consisting of the IE5G_SS plus the DB5G_CXP4 interface daughter board is designed not only as a high-performance embedded image grabber, but also for embedded video processing, image detection (with real-time decisions), and compression for various output formats.
 
 The IE5G_SS is able to generate many images simultaneously from one scanned object. The processed images are sent to the host through a USB 3.0 Super Speed interface. MS Windows drivers are supported. Optionally, BAPis can provide drivers for other operating systems. The IE5G_SS can be installed

DB5G_J2K4 - JPEG 2000 Compression Board for IE5G_SS

DB5G_J2K4 is a compression daughter board designed to connect with the image processing board IE5G_SS. These two boards combined together create an excellent combination of image processing functions. The DB5G_J2K4 daughter board allows encoding captured documents into JPEG 2000 images compressed according to the ISO/IEC 15444-1 standard. JPEG 2000 output gives smaller files at the same visual quality in comparison with standard JPEG, and it also preserves the edges of shapes even at a very deep compression level.

DB5G_CLF- Camera Link Daughterboard for Embedded Grabbers

The DB5G_CLF daughter board for the IE5G_SS image processing engine adds support for third party cameras with a Camera Link interface. The Camera Link Base, Medium, and Full modes are supported with pixel frequencies up to 85 MHz (maximum data rate up to 6.8 Gbps). Line and area cameras with both color and grayscale video output are supported. The wide range of processing, detection, and compression features of the embedded IE5G_SS engine are now available for-third party Camera Link camera models.

PCIE4CXP2 & PCIE8CXP4 - CoaXPress Frame Grabbers

The electronics of the PCIE4CXP2 and PCIE8CXP4, which can be used in a PC as a standard PCI-Express x4 or x8 card, allow a rapid communication between the camera and the workstation. Those boards are designed for high speed line capture applications as well as high resolution area scan cameras. The products are optimized for quality control and production lines applications.
The data recorded by the camera can be analyzed by software and serve as a basis for other tasks, such as information for forwarding to internal company networks, data archiving and simultaneous control of external devices. The standardized CoaXPress-Link works with the latest generation of cameras, particularly those in the industrial area of image processing. Therefore, it can be assured that our frame grabbers are a fast, safe and affordable solution for digital image transmission. The dual CoaXPress interfaces use two standard coaxial cables. These cables cost much less than the single camera-link cable and enable both considerably higher throughput and greater maximum transmission lengths.
